FX Brokers & Investment Funds

Deploying Commtrac locally allows brokers to securely interface with other Commtrac licensed institutions (e.g., Dru Treasuries) to operate internal financial clearing circuits. This infrastructure also enables brokers to deliver instant settlement products to their end-users, including real-time bank transfers over the SWIFT network, and instant liquidity access across Visa and Mastercard networks. Furthermore, Commtrac’s established ecosystem of regulated entities via Dru provides warm introductions, accelerating compliance onboarding so brokers can fast-track straight to execution.

Simulated Prop Firms

Deploying Commtrac locally enables B-Book Simulated Prop Firms to execute robust internal financial clearing and offer instant settlement services to end-users. Independent contractors (traders) benefit from immediate liquidity via instant bank transfers and debit card spend over the Visa and Mastercard networks. Commtrac integrates directly to manage complex B-Book balance sheets, driving operational automation and optimized clearing efficiency.

Proprietary Trading Firms

By deploying Commtrac locally, A-Book Proprietary Trading Firms can utilize their current brokerage-linked execution venue accounts (margin accounts) for instant end-user settlement, including real-time bank transfers and Visa/Mastercard debit spend. Commtrac transforms traditional execution setups into high-velocity cash flow engines. This infrastructure allows firms to run closed-loop financial clearinghouse operations internally, maximizing the financial efficiency of the A-Book model and driving peak profitability.

EMIs and Digital Custodians

Electronic Money Institutions, financial custodians, and exchanges can host Commtrac locally to facilitate instant deposit and withdrawal cycles for their end users. By deploying Commtrac as a local node, institutions can eliminate the latency of third-party clearinghouses and provide a high-velocity liquidity experience while maintaining total sovereignty over their internal data. This architecture enables instant settlement finality by utilizing end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) channels to communicate directly with Dru treasuries.

Commercial and Private Banks

By deploying Commtrac, commercial and private banks can optimize their existing nostro/vostro and settlement infrastructure, achieving settlement finality in under 10 seconds regardless of transfer type or amount. Commtrac integrates with existing cross-border compliance stacks, connecting banks to a globally compliant, locally distributed settlement network.

Card Networks & Acquiring Banks

Commtrac enables card networks and acquiring banks to eliminate the traditional T+3 settlement cycle. By facilitating instant settlement finality on every transaction, the software allows merchants to bypass clearing delays and access capital in real-time. This deterministic clearing model ensures that every sale results in immediate liquidity, drastically optimizing cash-flow management and reducing counterparty risk across merchants.

CommNet

Commtrac is a high-performance financial messaging system engineered for sovereign settlement networks and complex clearing operations. Institutions license and deploy Commtrac locally within their own secure environments, allowing them to establish end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) communication channels with other network participants. This decentralized architecture of interconnected Commtrac nodes forms "CommNet": a private, institutional layer for instant settlement and cross-entity clearing.

While CommNet operates as a private ecosystem, it maintains full interoperability with legacy financial infrastructure. Through its proprietary messaging language and native translation engine, CommNet can communicate seamlessly with external banks and institutions that do not yet run the protocol. This ensures that CommNet participants can settle with zero latency while maintaining a direct bridge to global banking standards.

The network provides on-demand liquidity through a federated network of private treasuries via Dru. These treasuries act as liquidity injectors for the network, facilitating high-velocity clearing operations. Any licensed Commtrac node can programmatically interact with these treasuries to facilitate real-time disbursements and capital movement.

Onboarding to the Commtrac ecosystem is a structured, institutional process:

  • Licensing: Execution of master licensing agreements and regulatory disclosures.
  • Introduction: Integration with our network of regulated partners and liquidity providers.
  • Local Deployment: On-site installation of the Commtrac node within the client's environment for sandboxed testing.
  • Optimization: Final protocol customization and stress-testing before scaling to full production.

The Commtrac network represents a fundamental shift in institutional capital movement. By combining sovereign node deployment with a federated liquidity network, it enables institutions that join the network to bypass the structural latencies of legacy finance and achieve true, deterministic settlement finality for their internal operations, and clients they service.

Who Needs Commtrac,
and Why.

Figure 01 — Licensed institutions onboard as sovereign nodes, joining a provisioned network ID.

An institution that licenses and deploys Commtrac officially becomes part of the network. This means that they are now communicating with third parties within their provisioned network ID for financial clearing operations.

A big barrier in today's age currently known to settlement networks is not a lack of intent, but the inherent friction of multi-party coordination. Real-time clearing requires moving beyond simple database entries on a virtual ledger to solving the two fundamental hurdles of inter-institutional finance: Trust and Privacy.

Trust and Privacy at the Protocol Layer

Figure 02 — ZKP circuits permit settlement finality without exposing internal counterparty data.

In commercial banking, institutions operate on a zero-trust basis. They do not — and legally often cannot — expose their internal data or "let their guard down" for the sake of settlement efficiency. Data is an institution's most protected asset, regardless of the industry type; and traditional clearing processes are slow precisely because they act as the buffer for this lack of transparency.

Commtrac serves as the technical bridge that enables secure communication without compromise. Through the integration of ZKP circuits, immutable record-keeping, and proprietary settlement logic, Commtrac allows institutions to reach settlement finality without exposing sensitive internal data to counterparty Commtrac nodes or third-party intermediaries.

Private Liquidity Operations

Figure 03 — Federated Dru treasuries provision pre-settlement liquidity to licensed nodes.

Beyond solving the trust gap, Commtrac provides licensed nodes with direct access to the network's liquidity layers. Institutions can leverage a federated network of private treasuries via Dru to facilitate pre-settlement and clearing operations.

This architecture allows firms to:

  • Optimize Capital: Access instant liquidity without collateralizing internal reserves.
  • Remove Operational Complexity: Interact with custodians and treasury providers via a standardized, encrypted protocol.
  • Sovereign Interconnectivity: Bridge internal operations to a private B2B settlement network that functions independently of, but remains compatible with, legacy SWIFT and banking rails.

The Institutional Competitive Edge

Figure 04 — Commtrac compresses legacy clearing windows into deterministic, seconds-bound finality.

Reducing financial clearing times from days to seconds is more than a marginal efficiency gain; it is a structural transformation. Real-world data demonstrates that delayed clearing is the single largest bottleneck for financial institutions and their end users.

Institutions integrated with the Commtrac protocol gain capabilities that were previously technically impossible:

Deterministic SWIFT Rails

Bank-direct wires that settle in seconds, not days.

Cross-Broker Liquidity

Instant internal transfers across disparate FX entities.

True Debit Integration

Real-time settlement for card networks directly against virtual fintech ledgers.

Commtrac is the infrastructure backbone that optimizes traditional banking and bridges it into the modern fintech environment. Without using any tokens or cryptocurrency, it brings the efficiency of digital assets to traditional fiat currency; ensuring that licensing institutions remain miles ahead of those tethered to legacy settlement cycles.
